Journalist David Enrique Meza Ceibeño Montesinos, 51 years old, was shot dead today in the afternoon in his car, by unidentified men who followed him in another vehicle. The car driven by David Meza crashed into a fence a few yards from his home.

- IMF To Send Staff To Honduras For Econ Assessment

The International Monetary Fund plans to send a staff mission to Honduras next week, the IMF said Thursday. The team will be the first from the IMF to visit Honduras since a coup toppled the government of former President Manuel Zelaya last summer.

There may be a new government in Honduras, and the US Secretary of State – Hillary Clinton – may be encouraging other member nations of the Organization of American States to recognize that government, but public demonstrations continue.
