Follow the example that Caracas gave... Posted: Sunday, May 5, 2002 www.gobiernoenlinea.ve Hi all, On average, a Venezuelan will hear the national anthem a couple times a day, so what happened in Caracas last month, did not come as a surprise to many. The people are continuously being told: "If despotism raises its voice, follow the example that Caracas gave." By all means, let us wholeheartedly adopt their attitude towards those who would govern them, but let us not lose sight of the fact that Venezuelans have been at it for a couple hundred years.
