What's next! Job Placement for all?

The headline of Raffique Shah's column "Easily Fooled" says it all about our Education system. Easily fooled because they did not know better. If they are so easily fooled what does that say about the present "Education System". Thousands of people are being fooled! What then is left to those who would be entering the very said Education system that produced the gullible thousands who quickly accepted this very superficial Political ploy.

Media hosts and commentators passed through the same Education system, however they too were easily fooled. Examine the Reports on the media after the results. They never presented any indept analysis (save a few writers) into what was clearly a political ploy. A ploy destined to blind the population to the fact that they (the government) were not, and have not critically examined ways of improving what they call Education. Instead they presented pictures and articles that were at the very best 'revolting'. What was presented not only shocked the senses of the wise but baffled the minds of the Educated. It left many not seeing the distinction between How and What was done. The sensible are not against the principle of all children gaining access to higher education, but the manner in which this charade was played out.

Does going into a Hospital make you a DOCTOR? So then how does being placed into a school make you Educated? Presently according to the statistics 75% of those who go into the system 'fail' to achieve the academic passes at the end of their five years. What would the percentages be now that those who clearly are not academically oriented are 'placed' into a system that cannot even produce a success rate? What about those who are otherwise inclined and are placed in a school that only caters for academics? The scenarios are endless.

Those who stand to profit the most from this move are the booksellers. Here the Government have provided an extra ten thousand pupils to purchase their high-priced books and uniforms.

The issue that should have been examined and solved is the present high rate of failures among the academics. How do you improve a bankrupt 'education' system?

The Government have now placed "ten thousand" more into a system that is already unsuccessful, overloaded and going nowhere.

If their was no consensus as to what should be done, if the governing union for the teacher's were not consulted about this project, then a more easily fooled population lies at the end of this.
