McVeigh's attorneys filed the petition to delay his scheduled June 11 execution earlier today. CNN May 28, 2001 Spy plane to return to US American officials say the United States and China have agreed on how to repatriate the US spy plane, which has been stranded on Hainan Island since a collision with a Chinese jet fighter almost two months ago. US technicians who inspected the plane earlier this month said it could be made air worthy, and Washington officials pushed Beijing to let the aircraft be repaired and they flown out of China. Beijing had said that allowing the plane to be repaired and flown out would have been a national humiliation. Making the United States take the plane apart for a long and expensive journey home could help China's leaders appease a nationalistic public outraged by the incident. CNN >> |

People were dancing and all of a sudden the dance floor collapsed, and all the tables around it fell through. Up to 1,000 people were celebrating on the top floor of the three-storey building when the ceiling gave way, sending people, tables and chairs plunging through the second floor to the ground, witnesses said.
